Litha at Elliott Park

What a wonderful Litha with the church family I love.
We met at Elliott Park (the pavilion and toilets are gone - oh my).

Our ritual was simple but powerful.
We gathered Cedar together and cared for the trees.
Each little snip we took was a personal prayer.

We also gathered sticks to light a Litha fire.
We released our prayers in the fire.

We gathered for feast.

We ended by honoring our Birthday Girl, Sister Pat.
And she honored us with a special gift for the Mel Fund.
Yes, she made the Pineapple Upside Down Cake too, lol.
Here Fred is holding the gift from Pat - a treasure box that's
been with her for, at least, 20 years.

It's hard to believe it's mid-summer already.

Blessings to You,
Sandy a.k.a Mom
